| In the mid 1970's Bob Michels Sr. started Michels & Sons Building Supply by selling 2 x 4's out of his garage. Bob worked at the CCI Mines in Marquette County during this time. While working at the mines, his lumber business continued to grow and in 1976 a warehouse was constructed. By 1977 the business had gotten so large that Bob Sr. decided to sell it to his oldest son Bob Jr. Steadily over the years Bob Jr. and his wife Lyn grew the business into the 11,000 square ft. buildings you see today. |
